Corniglia is a fraction of the comune of Vernazza in the province of La Spezia, Liguria, northern Italy with a population of about 150. Unlike the other localities of the Cinque Terre, Corniglia is not directly adjacent to the sea. Instead, it is on the top of a promontory about 100 metres high, surrounded on three sides by vineyards and terraces, the fourth side descends steeply to the sea. To reach Corniglia, it is necessary to climb the Lardarina, a long brick flight of steps composed of 33 flights with 382 steps or, otherwise follow a vehicular road that, from the station, leads to the village. 360-degree stock photo of Campo dei Frari, Venice, Italy

Campo dei Frari and Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari in Venice
This is one of the biggest chuches in Venice. Inside are some important works of art like two paintings from Tizian, who is also buried here. The construction of the church started in the middle of the 13th century. But it needed many changes and was finished around 1450.
Venice is a unique island city. Spread on 118 islands, it is the faszinating heritage of a very rich history. Since 1987 Venice is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. But due to the unlimited mass tourism, the world heritage status is endangered. Especially the big cruise ships cause many problems with driving into the lagoon and flooding the city with tourists who don’t spend money for things which are free on board.

360 degree image of Genuese Castle in Enez, Thrakia, Turkey

The small citiy of Enez is directly at the Turkish-Greek border. At ancient Greek times it was called Ainos and thanks to its habour it had become a rich town. Later Enez belonged to Pergamon and was inherited by the Romans. Justinian, emperor of the East-Roman empire, built a fortress. Later, under Niccolo Gattilusio Enez belonged a rich Genuese family, which had been accepted by the Emperor in Byzanz in 1379. After the fall of Konstantinopel 1453 Enez had been occupied by Sultan Mehmed II. personally. Today its a small and calm town with a little local tourism. Nearby are flat bays and salt ponds where you can see many different kinds of birds. And sometimes there are even Flamingos.

Sunny autumn day in Heiligenblut, Austria

A sunny autumn-day in Heiligenblut. The larches all around are coloured in a bright orange. It won’t take long and they will loose their needles. The most important building in the village is the church “St. Vinzenz”. The church is dedicated to Vinzenz of Saragossa. It is from late Gothic times and contains an altar from 1520. Today Heiligenblut is a center for mountaineeers. From here you can drive to the Franz-Josephs-Hut above the glacier at the foot of the Grossglockner. This is the highest mountain in Austria, 3798m.
